Both Darren Clarke and Kenny Perry have decided not bother to try and qualify for this year’s US Open. What is wrong with these players ? Playing in the Majors is your chance to enter the history books.
One thing I’d like to do
I’ve wanted to play Muirfield Village ever since we won the Ryder cup there in 1987. It just looks a fascinating course to play. I probably wouldn’t break a hundred.

Good news
Looks like Tiger’s going to be Ok for the US Open next week and he’s be paired with Mickelson in the first two rounds. I bet Tiger will scare him to death.
Steady progress
And finally a word about myself. I scored 39 points on Sunday and although it may be a false dawn, I feel I’m onto something after several years of being in the golfing doldrums.
