We don’t know much about him and what he can do but at least Sandro is saying all the right things about Tottenham. Let’s hope he doesn’t get disillusioned too quickly.

We lose to a team that have had ten goals put past them in their last two games and prove we still have a long way to go. You can argue it was a bit of a hangover of the euphoria from Wednesday but in full broken record mode, if we are going to be seen as a good side, we’ve got to beat sides like Wigan. We’ve got the Arse in the Carling Cup and even though it’ll be mainly the stiffs who we play again it’s also an opportunity to get some silverware so we need to play better than this. God knows what Inter would’ve done against us.

The Champions League draw could’ve been  a lot worse for Tottenham and I think we’ve got a great chance of at least finishing 2nd in the group. Inter of course will still be a force to be reckoned with but I’m sure we can be a match for the other two. So a couple of draws against Inter, and three wins out of four against Werder Bremen and Twente and we’re through. Easy really.

Led by Mill Green’s own Tomasz Anderson, Hertfordshire have become English Boys Champions. I’ve played golf with Tomasz and he’s a great player and a nice lad. So well done to him and the team.

In a controlled performance we ease past a lively Young Boys side and are now in The Champions League proper. Peter Crouch was excellent and could’ve had five. So we’re in with the big boys now and it would be great to get Real Madrid ! I was at WHL in 1985 when Real beat us in the UEFA Cup and we lost our unbeaten European home record. To this day Butragueno and Valdano’s performance that night was the best I’ve ever seen from two forwards.

The Coalition doesn’t want to be defined by cuts, yet they continue, as this reports shows, to hit the hardest in society the most. It is impossible to reconcile the cuts with continuing economic growth. If people don’t have enough money, or are jobless or on benefits how is the economy going to grow ? Any job losses in the public sector will never be picked up by the private sector and so you’ll get the situation where people lose their jobs and won’t have sufficient benefits to enure they enjoy a half decent standard of living. It’s not economic rocket science.

Yes they battered us in the second and yes we would’ve been disappointed if we’d had a goal disallowed but Tottenham had enough quality especially in the first half to deserve the win. In the absence of several players, Bale stepped up to the scoring plate and grabbed a couple. As ‘Arry says, he’s one of the best left sided players in the country so let’s hope his good form continues.
