Time is running out for Blu ray format – Times Online .

I recently invested a Sony BDP-S350 Blu-Ray player and have to say it is fantastisch. The sound and vision are top notch but it would appear to be out of date already according to the article. Downloading and streaming do have a place. I just can’t see this taking over from DVDs. Even though Blu-ray disks are dear, they are worth it for the quality you get. The latest Batman film’s soundtrack shook our flat it was that loud. You could feel the rumble in the sofa.

Play.com knocks Blu-ray disks out for £15 so you can pick them up a bit cheaper if you look around. Cheaper disks, in general, would help the format big time.
