Frustrating

BBC SPORT | Football | League Cup | Bolton 3-4 Tottenham (aet)

Why couldn’t Spurs have done this on Saturday ? Bolton looked to have had a strong side out last night so there’s no excuse for playing so poorly on Saturday. It’s annoying to say the least.

John Peel

BBC NEWS | Entertainment | TV and Radio | Tributes pour in for DJ John Peel

John Peel played one of our records when we were in a band and I met him once and he was a jolly fine chap. He introduced me to lots of music via his show and he gave exposure to many bands who wouldn’t normally have been heard.

One unusual fact about him was that when Lee Harvey Oswald was presented at a press conference John blagged his way in by saying he was a reporter for the Liverpool Echo. As someone who’s been interested in the Kennedy assasination, I always admired his front for being there as history was made.

Tomato or pea and ham ?

It just gets better and better !

What a shame

BBC SPORT | Football | Premiership | Man Utd 2-0 Arsenal

Poor old Arsenal lose to Utd whose first goal was a disputed penalty. It couldn’t have happened to a nicer team ! Both Wenger and Viera blamed the referee for the defeat. Nothing to do with Arsenal not turning their superiority into goals then ?

The bus must be in the garage

Spurs fall to yet another defeat, losing 2-1 at home to Bolton. It seems all the early season good work is now going to waste. We must beat teams like Bolton if we are to progress.

Heritage Trophy update

As I thought I came absolutely nowhere. 42 points won it and there were three 39 points and one 40 points in front of me. So even if I hadn’t three putted a couple of times I still wouldn’t have won. Frustrating to say the least.
