That’s more like it

BBC SPORT | Football | Premiership | Tottenham 2-0 Fulham

A dull game by all accounts but a good win none the less.

Patience is a virtue

I’ve updated my site to the lastest version of Wordpress and I’m having a few problems. Please bear with me if some parts don’t work properly. Thanks.

Charity begins at home

BBC SPORT | Football | FA Cup | Tottenham 1-1 Nottm Forest

Somehow we contrive to draw with a team struggling at the bottom of the Championship. I know it’s the FA Cup but come on we should’ve beaten such a poor team.

It’s all about players

BBC SPORT | Football | FA Cup | Tottenham 3-1 West Brom

You can talk about systems all you like; the diamond, five in midfield, four four two. In the end though it’s all about players. On Saturday, Spurs were totally outplayed by Albion in the first half. Spurs were lucky not to go two or three down with only Robinson keeping us in the game. Along comes Russell Hoult, who needlessly upends Kelly and we go in at half-time level from the resulting penalty. Spurs scored early from a clever free kick and you could see Albion’s heads drop. The final score was three-one but Albion never recovered from the penalty so close to half-time.

Over in Spain, Real Madrid were totally outplayed by Osasuna for seventy five minutes with Igor Casillas keeping Real in the game. On comes Michael Owen, scores straight away to level the scores and Real go on to beat a shell shocked Osasuna after the keeper drops a Beckham free kick.

BBC SPORT | Football | Premiership | Tottenham 3-1 Portsmouth

I might not have heard of him but Mido notches twice to give us a win at long last.
