Disaster at the Spring Meeting

Played in the Spring Meeting at Mill Green. Scored 22 points on the front nine with 3 birdies but only 7 points (yes 7) on the back nine. Blobbed the 11th hole but recovered with a good par at the 12th hole but only got 2 points in the last 6 holes. Had to play two balls down the 13th hole because I wasn’t sure of the ruling over some casual water and that seemed to throw me. Golf can be a very humbling at times.

More disappointment

We were outplayed by the Arsenal but we should’ve nicked a point when Robbie Keane missed a sitter near the end.

The slump continues

Played in the April sunday medal at Mill Green. Went round the first nine in 39 strokes playing very well and hitting my irons much better than recently. Slumped to 47 on the back nine that went par, double bogey, double bogey, par, double bogey, par, treble bogey, double bogey, par. Too many doubles for my liking. Once again my irons let me down and I was very poor in the bunkers I seemed to find with great regularity.

More frustration

BBC SPORT | Football | Premiership | Tottenham 1-1 West Brom

I know West Brom are fighting for their lives but we really should be doing better against teams like this.

Better than working (only just)

Played at Lamerwood with the Royal Oak and scraped in with 29 points. Had 3 blobs on the front nine so all was lost after that. Back nine had 17 points and hit some lovely drives. My iron play was appalling all day though.

Too little, too late

BBC SPORT | Football | Premiership | Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham

We play much better than last week against Newcastle but it’s all smacks of being too little too late. Tenth spot seems to be our rightful place.
