I played football for 18 seasons and have watched professional football for more years than I care to remember and I’ve seen it happen so often. A side will have a bit of bad luck, a decision go against them or miss an open goal and the other side then goes up the other end and scores. As soon as we weren’t given the penalty, I knew we were going to lose.

It’s a pity because we actually looked half decent in this game. It’s all against us at the moment.

If I could see this in a pub three hundred miles away then why couldn’t the ref see it from thirty yards ?

We get a good win over a poor Derby side but with Zakora dropped and Jenas (even if he did score) still in the side, I’m still unsure of this Spurs side.

Much as I like Martin Jol, I’m not sure he’s the right man for the job now. I know it’s early season and we’ve only lost two games but the manner of our two performances suggest we haven’t got the right players or manager.

My doubts about Spurs are well documented here and it seems now we’re destined for another season of frustration.
