Pleased with a point

BBC SPORT | Football | Premier League | Everton 0-0 Tottenham

I suppose we have to be pleased with a point against a top four side but watching the highlights we didn’t seem to have a meaningful attack.

Woodgate seems to have played well though which must be a bonus.

He can’t be worse than we’ve got

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Tottenham Hotspur | Spurs win chase to sign Woodgate

I admired Woodgate when he went to Spain and he was unlucky again with injuries. He’s got to be better than Dawson.

Adam Gilchrist retired from international cricket at the weekend. He said:

I realised I didn’t have the absolute desperation that you need to continue to maintain your standards.

Some of the Spurs players should get some absolute desperation in the big games.

No luck again

BBC SPORT | Football | FA Cup | Man Utd 3-1 Tottenham

We play well again, creating plenty of chances and stopping Utd from playing but Dawson came to their rescue with two poor bits of defending. Let’s hope it’s his last game for Spurs as he just costs us too many goals.

Ronaldo was annoying giving it the big ‘un after he scored the penalty. O’Hara had him in his pocket all day. Jenas again promised much and delivered little.

You must take your chances against a team like Utd and we had some very clear cut ones. In the end we paid the price for those misses.

All in all a bit frustrating really.

Men against boys

BBC SPORT | Football | League Cup | Tottenham 5-1 Arsenal

My mate Derek said in a text “I’m not dreaming then” after we went 4-0 up and the game did indeed seem like a dream. It is quite unbelievable how we dominated the game. They could’ve had a couple but we could’ve had seven with a bit more luck.

It was made all the more sweet as Alan Smith was a commentator for Sky and he’s not biased is he ?

Two clean sheets in a row; What’s going on ?

BBC SPORT | Football | Premier League | Tottenham 2-0 Sunderland

A clean sheet, Huddlestone at centre half, Captain Lennon and Keane coming on as sub to score his 100th goal. It all happened in this game !
