Ramos to be sacked ?

BBC SPORT | Football | Premier League | Tottenham 4-4 Chelsea

Last time we drew 4-4, the manager was sacked when we lost in the next European game, so is Ramos on his way ? I thought Ramos’ decision to play Chimbonda out of position at left back cost us a couple of goals and highlighted the need to get Bale fit ASAP.

Ashley Cole didn’t do the game of football in general any favours with the bad tackle on Hutton and his lack of respect to the referee. He’s since apologised but probably under pressure from the club rather than off his own back.

BBC SPORT | Football | Premier League | Man City 2-1 Tottenham

City hadn’t won in ages but good old Tottenham gifts them three points. We were in control and again it was the usual suspects Lennon, Jenas and Dawson who et us down with avoidable mistakes. Even the commentator said he felt sorry for the Tottenham fans and all they have to put up with.

What more can you say ?

BBC SPORT | Golf | Stunning putt earns Woods victory

I think we’re running out of superlatives for Tiger now. His current streak has all the makings of being the best ever (Byron Nelson won 11 in a row in the Forties). Jack is the greatest player ever but Tiger is the best.

Not such a Glory, Glory, Nght

BBC SPORT | Football | Europe | PSV 0-1 Tottenham (1-1)

There’s often not any justice in football and Spurs really did deserve to win this game simply because they wanted to more than PSV. PSV looked a shadow of the team we played last week and with a bit more luck we would’ve won.

It was quite fitting that Jenas cost us the game with his missed penalty. He had contributed very little to the game and he’d constantly given the ball away with his silly flicks. Him, Lennon and Huddlestone were again culpable with their casual attitude in our not winning the game.

It was Chimbonda who missed the last penalty but it was Jenas who could and should’ve won it for us.

A good result after Thursday’s poor performance

BBC SPORT | Football | Premier League | Tottenham 4-0 West Ham

We bounce back with two early goals that seemed to have settled the game. Even Gilberto got on the score sheet after his night mare against PSV.

West Ham were above us so this result takes us closer to overtaking them. Let’s hope we carry this into the return game with PSV.

We’re disappointing again

BBC SPORT | Football | Europe | Tottenham 0-1 PSV

A poor defensive error cost us the game but in reality we didn’t play with enough guile or imagination to get a result against a good PSV side.

The usual suspects Jenas and Lennon let us down and we struggled to get any real momentum going. They played as a team, we played as individuals.
