It was a less than vintage performance and some of our players such as Huddlestone were embarrassingly bad but at least it looks like we’re through to the knockout stages (where we’re probably get AC Milan !) NEC weren’t up to much although at 1-0 there’s always a chance with Tottenham of throwing it away.

There’s no doubt Lennon was our best player yesterday but that doesn’t make him an England player. Instead of going on and inflicting more damage on Blackburn, he was as poor as the rest of the team in the second half . He shouldn’t get ideas above his station which is a nippy player lacking in match winning quality.
