Spent another lovely day on and around the beach. Neither of us wanted to go home as we’d enjoyed it so much.
In the evening bored Shah to death by watching the Ryder Cup. She got through it by getting drunk (again)

We spent most of the day down on the beach and walking around Cascais. It was very hot again and Shah just keeps getting darker and darker.
Watched the once again not so Super Soar away Spurs win in the UEFA Cup. We scored and then let a Sunday morning goal in 67 seconds later !
Weather was a bit dull again so we decided to go to Sintra. After the bus journey from hell, we arrived in what can only be described as a truly beautiful place. We went to the Pena Palace which was brilliant and then the Moorish Castle which was good but we were knackered by then with all the steep hill walking we had to do. At least we’ll be fit after this holiday !
In the evening, we watched a bit of football and Shah got drunk again.
And the world financial system melted even more.
After all the walking we’d done the last few days, we decided to have a lazy day around the pool. Trouble was it was all a bit cloudy so didn’t really top up the old tan.
Went on the train to Lisbon and had a meal in the Alacantara area near the 25th of April Bridge. The area was great but the meal was pooh ! Shah got drunk though and was a bit uncontrollable.
And the world started to go into financial meltdown.
A hot day and we went on a visit to Lisbon. It´s a fantastic city that we saw by doing a very touristy bus ride. This helped us see most of the city although it did get very very hot on the bus.
In the evening went and watched the not so Super, Soaraway Spurs lose to Aston Villa. This was a bit dispiriting as we looked very, very poor.
There were a lot of verys in this post.
Spent the day at the beach and got a bit burnt. Had sun cream on my head but not my face so I’ve now got a wavy red line on my forehead which looks kind of silly. It made Shah laugh anyway.
Went into Cascais in the evening and that was much more lively so we’re going back in there Monday to watch Super Soaraway Spurs !
