I’ve played at Brocket Hall and I can sort of see what the problem is. Even the club say the Melbourne course doesn’t fit in to the landscape but when you play or walk there (which you can) it’s a lovely place.
Peter Alliss and Clive Clarke designed the course and I’m sure they would think about the design differently but you can only use what’s put in front of you
